Contest Rules

The AUS/CIS Contest is free to enter and open to everyone except employees of The Chronicle Herald and persons with whom they cohabit. Must be 19 years of age or older. If under the age of majority, must have parent/guardian consent.

   1. No purchase necessary. A random draw will be conducted from all eligible entries received by the contest deadline. Skill testing question is required.
   2. To enter, fill in the entry form online or mail entries to
AUS/CIS Contest, P.O. Box 938, Halifax, N.S. B3J 3S5. Entries can be dropped off to The Chronicle Herald, 2717 Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax.
   3. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by the contest deadline of 12:00 noon, Monday, February 27th, 2012 and a random draw will be made following the deadline. The winner will be notified by phone. Passes must be picked up at The Chronicle Herald, 2717 Joseph Howe Drive, Halifax.
   4. The Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of one skybox for the Subway AUS Championship game (including dry snacks and non-alcoholic beverages), and four tournament passes for the CIS Men's Basketball Championship weekend.
   5.  Identification must be provided upon winning the prize. Entrants must consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph and/or image for publicity purposes in all mediums carried out by the contest promoters without payment or compensation.
   6. To be eligible, all entries must be received on or before the contest deadline.
   7. The contest promoters will not be responsible for prize substitution. The contest promoters may withdraw or cancel at any time.
   8. Some prize restrictions apply. The prize must be taken as awarded and is neither transferable nor redeemable for cash.
  9. Prizes must be claimed within two weeks of notification or contest winner will forfeit their prize.
  10.  The contest promoters accept no liability or responsibility in connection with any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising out of this contest or the prize.
  11. The decision of the Contest Manager is final on all matters of fact, interpretations, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment.
  12. By entering this contest, you acknowledge having read and accepted these rules.
